Education Truth Project is a Political Action Committee whose main purpose is to educate the public on real issues facing public schools and Boards of Education.
Our specific goal is to support local school board candidates and causes that share our values by:
- Reforming our public education system by promoting pragmatism and critical thinking. We expose hyperbolic, fake curriculum issues like CRT and “The 1776 Project” in Public School Boards.
- Helping candidates with the resources and support necessary to combat the toxic candidates and environment created by MAGA movement and fake news organizations.
- While divisive groups want to return to the past for answers, we at Education Truth Project are focused on our future.
MAGA School Board Candidates Celebrated Victory with Proud Boys Flashing White Power Signs
“A trio of “anti-woke” GOP candidates claimed victory in elections for the Sarasota school board this week, boosted by endorsements from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and support from a far-right group founded by members of the Proud Boys. During celebrations on Tuesday night, two of the newly-elected board members were photographed at the official victory party with two of the Proud Boys, one of whom posed flashing the OK sign, a known white-power dog whistle.
Anti-CRT Conservative PACs Dominate Texas School Board Elections
Candidates backed by conservative political action committees (PACs) swept Texas school board elections held on Saturday, as last year’s nationwide pushback against critical race theory materializes into on-the-ground victories.
A new form of McCarthyism is taking cancerous root in the New Jersey body politic | Opinion
In New Jersey, the authors of the legislation embodying this anti-African American, racial McCarthyism are two Republican New Jersey state senators, Michael Testa, Jr. of Cumberland County and Joe Pennacchio of Morris County, both strong supporters of Donald Trump. Their press release introducing this legislation, S4166, is a classic example of McCarthyism at its most vile extreme, a naked effort to purge academic freedom from our public school system and to suppress any effort to teach to the children of New Jersey the shameful American heritage of slavery, racial discrimination, and segregation.
Another local election result based on erroneous information. Help us stop this in 2022. “On the day before the election, a postcard was delivered to local homes to urge voters to “fire” her because she “authorizes teachings of critical race theory.”
With the recent news of the upcoming Supreme Court decision on Abortion rights, we at Education Truth Project (ETP) recognize the importance of electing candidates that share our vision of freedom of education as well as freedom to make decisions for our own bodies.
What makes this decision even more offensive: “Brown v. Board of Ed” was used as precedent by the Majority to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“In appropriate circumstances we must be willing to reconsider and if necessary, overrule constitutional decisions,” Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. writes in the Feb. 10 “1st Draft” opinion in a major abortion rights case from Mississippi, in which the court has yet to release a final ruling. “Some of our most important constitutional decisions have overruled prior precedents.”
Alito cites Brown, which overruled the “separate but equal” principle from the court’s 1896 decision in Plessy v. Ferguson, as the leading example of the court correcting an egregious mistake. He also singled out West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, the 1943 decision that overruled a 1940 ruling, Minersville School District v. Gobitis, and held that public school students could not be compelled to salute the U.S. flag in violation of their beliefs.
We consider this a core issue of our agenda for honesty in educating our children. Please help us by contributing and/or volunteering.

In the News
The 2021 election was a disaster for most of us because a vocal minority came out and voted. This “Red Wave” was not just organic and Education Truth Project was created to fight back in 2022.
